Lesley Adams

When Lesley joined Waterkeeper Alliance in 2012 as the Western Regional Coordinator she brought with her more than a decade of experience in mobilizing communities, coordinating campaigns and advocating for justice. She founded Rogue Riverkeeper in 2009 as a program of the Klamath-Siskiyou Wildlands Center where she had worked since 2003 as a public lands and wildlife advocate. In her years as Rogue Riverkeeper, Lesley helped engage communities in municipal, county, state and federal decisions that impacted the waterways of the salmon-rich Rogue Basin.

Lesley has served on the Board of Directors of the Lomakatsi Restoration Project and the Global Justice Ecology Project and was a grant-maker with the MRG Foundation. After studying political science and theology at U.C. Santa Cruz, she earned a B.S. in Environmental Studies and Biology from Southern Oregon University. She was born and raised on the Sacramento River where she spent her summers in a bathing suit. She lives in the Siskiyou Mountains with her young son where they hike, swim, read, garden, float, and study nature.
